Valentine’s Day Creed

I will pursue you with intent to woo you…

I won’t say I love you until – I do…

I will treat your kisses like the choicest of precious stones…

And I will hug you with all my being as if I was ten years old…

I will capture the magic of your laughter in a bottle…

And refresh myself with it when you are away from me…

I will not take for granted the God-made beauty when you smile…

Just call me the Sultan, because it is so mesmerizing…

I cannot promise to not argue, but I’ll do my best to resolve…

I won’t say I’ll never forget anything, but I’ll do my best to keep you involved…

I will treat each moment in your presence like a brand new gift…

And if you suffer an injury, I’ll be on hand with the bandages…

I will tell it like it is, so that you can learn the whole me…

I’ll give you the real foot first, and then my best if you can tolerate me…

I’m not an actor so I’m not planning to put on a show…

Truth is my native tongue so don’t go expecting Pinnochio’s nose…

When we go into a theatre, I will always hold your hand…

As long as I have breath I will proclaim that thou art truly the best in the land…

When we park stay in your seat, because I’m headed quickly around to open the door…

When you’re elevated look for my hand to escort you to the floor…

Before I pop the question, you’ll already be a part of the family…

I promise not to shy away from either your mom, or your daddy…

I shall spin fine threads of loquacious eloquence for the world…

But for you I present the magnitude of the entire wardrobe…

God shall calibrate us…

None shall decapitate us…

In the end there shall be 3 cords stranded together…

One Love.
