Cartwheels In Heels

Left foot, right foot, left foot
Pause.
Left right, right left, right left
God.
The snowglobe tosses the powder around til it carousels up my nose…
A merry go round- life is a ride putting me on a high, waiting for me to go through withdrawals…
Cereal bowl knowledge- wisdom is good for my bones- these aren’t those dry ones from Ezekiel but rather the ethereal pounds of flesh built for a throne…
Cream on top of diamonds, I’m married to an ice cream cone… mm.

Say What?

The water was ice cold…
Wasn’t a sprite though
Although…
I think I saw a sprite in the snow…
Perhaps it was a snow angel.
You never know about ones gifts

What is the diff
Between a quilt full of legacy…
And just some stray fabric?
I’m in the wonderland…
And I’m a wonderful man…
I minister to these Oscars in the trash cans…
Always wonderin…
What does kool aid in another country taste like?

Oopsa Daisy

Oopsa daisy, oopsa daisy
Dropped the food, the fruit is crazy
Lost the loot the pirates gave me
Caught the boot, it left me hazy
Fried that chicken, dripped the hot sauce
Frozen dinner, what a hot loss
Dipped in blood, up on the cross
Double entendre, salad was tossed
Took a sip, it was kool-aid
Drank it for an hour, definitely not minute maid
Left in the tavern, plans got waylaid
Housed in a brothel – got way laid
Made some mistakes, but I’m not lazy
Single because women won’t date me
I guess what it is I’m really saying
Is oopsa daisy, oopsa daisy

Rick’s Limes

The truth shone bright, falsely

The lie then turned truth softly

The masses were tricked

Their purpose was missed

Blame it on great stalkers, talking…

The man took a risk with his heart

Simply by admitting his heart

He fell for a crush

Then jumped right back up

Dreading when the next would start…

Pen meets page for a romance

Story after next, what a dance!

Then pen runs out of ink

Page’s affection shrinks

And pen ends up tossed in the can…

Darkness presses in from all sides

Thirsty to consume, and drive out the light

Victim is me

Also her and he

We need dawn to get rid of this night…

I love you with the power of all heartbeats

I have the muzzle in hand, for when life starts barking

I hope you’re expecting this surprise

Go on ahead, open your eyes

Sweetheart – I humbly ask you to marry me!

A Kiss

Sunshine touching the clouds run amiss…

The stars pressed tightly to the darkness…

Vision’s lips locked with the lips of your pupils…

Intimacy between hope and faith…

…Tis a kiss.

A passionate moment between lovers…

The seamless bond between sheet and covers…

The isolated moments of care from mothers…

Fervent sensuality between spring and summer…

…Tis a kiss.

Flames licking the edges of the fireplace…

A lawyer’s loyalty to their briefcase…

The marriage between chase and banks…

Only a tongue’s separation between shoes and lace…

… Tis a kiss.

That crucial, yet simple litmus test…

That one thing in which we all need confidence…

Of unity and spawn it is the catalyst…

The freedom between Eric and his lady in the mermaid dress…

… Tis a kiss…
